SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION X U.S. GLOBAL CHANGE RESEARCH PROGRAM

Fifth National Climate Assessment

The U.S. Global Change Research Program, in collaboration with The Smithsonian Institution, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, The National Science Foundation, and The Federal Emergency Management Agency tasked artists with creatively visualizing climate change in the United States (its causes, impacts, our shared vulnerabilities and strength of our collective response) as a part of their Art x Climate initiative, with the mission of strengthening partnerships between science and art. Art will be featured in the Fifth National Climate Assessment as a chapter cover, in case studies, public events and communication materials.

I created this piece to align with this mission and to bring my perspective of the climate crisis and our human responsibility to respond to it. I have always been passionate about wildlife and hold a deep love for animals-- to support wildlife through my art is something I would love to continue doing through new works, collaborations and opportunities.
